I graduated from Goa University in India in 2002 with my Master of Science in Marine Biotechnology. I studied for my Bachelor of Science in Botany, Zoology, and Chemistry at Allahabad University. I completed my Doctor of Philosophy in Biology and Chemistry at Deakin University.
Experience
I am a competent professional with 10+ years of academic and industrial research experience in industrial & marine biotechnology. Gene synthesis, NGS, cloning, gene expression, conventional and normalized cDNA library construction, the hunt of novel genes, pathway characterization, finding missing genes in pathways, and in-vitro assay are some of the key skills developed during my industrial research experience. I worked with MNC on research projects, providing me with the opportunity to expand my knowledge of metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, and molecular biology along with marine biotechnology. I have strong research planning, scientific and business report preparation, and presentation skills. I love teaching students and can assist in experimental design, execution, and project writing/report of biotechnology and related projects.
